IAE is actively assembling a portfolio of strategically located projects in areas facing energy and waste disposal challenges or the need to decrease their CO2 emissions.

Waste-to-Energy - Ecuador

Our highest priority project is located in Duran, Ecuador, where we have secured a 25-year contract with the government to provide electric power and waste solutions pending the completion of a feasibility study. Pending positive results, IAE will build it’s first plant in the city of Duran.  If the overall program is successful in Duran, IAE could be awarded two more plants in Milagro and Guayaquil.

Waste-to-Energy projects are particularly attractive due to the multiple sources of cash flow involved. Such projects generate cash flow from waste removal and disposal, as well as from waste that is converted on site or near site into electricity then sold to customers; additional cash flow is obtained through the sale of Carbon Offset Credits.
